COURSE DETAILS
This course is for any EMDR therapist looking for advanced strategies to facilitate successful reprocessing. We will begin with an orientation to the Preparation Hierarchy, a tool for assessing reprocessing readiness.
A variety of treatment planning techniques will also be covered, which can be used to work with complex targets and tricky present-day symptoms. Trainees will learn how to create a symptom-focused treatment plan, which can be used to decrease destabilizing symptoms and widen the window of tolerance. Learn the fractionated treatment planning technique to work with cluster experiences. And learn how to work with preverbal trauma with our implicit memory treatment planning technique.Â
Trainees will learn how to implement the constricted processing strategies of EMD & EMDr, which are useful techniques for working within the client’s window of tolerance. We will also do a deep dive into interweaves and explore how taxing working memory can reduce client overwhelm and result in a quick reduction of SUDS.
Therapists will also learn how to employ the power of the social engagement system to support target reprocessing without getting in the way of the process.
This course is useful for any EMDR therapist working with complex trauma and complicated client presentations. Therapists will walk away with enhanced confidence and a variety of strategies to support trauma healing.
